CQB Hell Melnik Boss Guide

Melnik is a named boss players hunt after they already understand random map clears and want the next spike in CQB Hell. Pair this page with Allik Boss, Ascalon Boss, T14 Armata Boss, and the shared checklist on Bosses. If hallway vanity fights drain your medkits, fix that on Map Clearing before you treat Melnik as a gear check.

CQB Hell by Killart Studios released March 14, 2025 on Roblox with online sessions on PC, Xbox, and Mobile. Boss arenas still obey sandbox rules—firearms, grenades, medkits—without invented DPS tables. Community examples remain useful language: Musket for deliberate picks, D-44 Carbine for controlled strings, G19B when space collapses, Contender for committed peeks. Permanent specials in a third gun slot can help if you already own one from marketplace drops or NPC loot; see Marketplace Specials before panic shopping mid-wipe.

Fight identity

Melnik reads like a sustained-pressure boss: less idle time than trash rooms, more punishment for standing in the same frame. You are solving cover ownership, reload masks, and composure while pressure keeps coming. Expect fewer free seconds to admire the arena and more reason to treat every peek as a loan you must repay with displacement.

Before the door, name your first peek tile, reload mask, heal window, and exit if the opening line dies. If those are fuzzy, you are practicing hope.

Preparation

  1. Arrive with medkits and grenades still in the budget—finish Map Clearing habits first.
  2. Warm up on the Shooting Range, including PVP stress when you want pressure practice.
  3. Confirm a firearm tempo you can finish under stress, not a forum myth.
  4. Solo Musket players should open Solo Bosses with Musket for reload contracts.
  5. Mobile players should pre-place heal and reload inputs per Mobile Tips.
  6. Review Survive CQB doorway rules so Melnik does not become a hallway replay.

Opening and mid-fight loop

Slice the entry. Take information, then decide whether the first plant is real. Do not sprint a blind center challenge. Spend grenades only when they buy a plant window or interrupt a stack you cannot swing fairly.

The winning loop stays boring on purpose:

  • Chip from cover
  • Displace before the counter lands
  • Reload only when fully masked
  • Heal only when sight is broken
  • Re-enter from a slightly different pixel

Musket players keep the fire-displace-reload chain sacred. Carbine players punctuate strings with cover. If you carry a special third slot, swap only while masked.

Failure patterns on Melnik

  • Tunnel vision on the boss while secondary AI deletes your flank
  • Healing at the same crate until the pattern is readable
  • Emptying utilities on the opener, then playing the long fight broke
  • Chasing damage during a lost swing instead of resetting
  • Ignoring platform limits and over-peeking on touch or controller lag

Team notes

Stagger peeks so someone is ready while another reloads. Do not stack one doorway. If a teammate drops, revive only through real cover. Call which side you own so the team does not burn the same burnt angle.

After a wipe, write one cause. Flank deletes point toward Ambush Boss. Snappy pressure and standing-still deaths point toward Viper Boss. Long attrition mirrors Ascalon Boss and Allik Boss. Tank-themed pressure comparisons live on T14 Armata Boss. Return to the Guides Hub when fundamentals—not the boss name—are the real problem.

Melnik is beatable when you treat it as advanced CQB: own vulnerable seconds, spend resources like they matter, and refuse to invent a new plan mid-magazine.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common CQB Hell questions.

Do I need a specific gun for Melnik?

No required weapon. Use a tempo you can hit under stress—Musket, D-44 Carbine, G19B, or Contender styles are common community examples.

Should I save medkits for Melnik?

Yes. Sustained boss pressure collapses if you arrive with an empty heal budget after vanity clears.

Is Melnik soloable?

Yes with strict cover cycles. Musket solos need especially disciplined reload timing.

How does Melnik compare to T14 Armata?

Both punish static play. Read the T14 Armata page if your wipe notes mention angle denial and long sightlines.

Where is shared boss preparation?

Use the Bosses hub for checklists, then return here for Melnik-specific focus.

Does the shooting range help?

Yes. Rehearse fire-displace-reload before serious attempts.
