CQB Hell Grenades & Medkits Tier Guide

Utility rankings for aggressive AI, random maps, and boss resource curves in CQB Hell.

Grenades & Medkits

Firearms get the highlight clips, but grenades and medkits decide whether you still have a plan when CQB Hell’s aggressive AI stacks a doorway or a boss forces a reset. This page ranks utility usage patterns for Killart Studios’ Roblox PvE shooter—not invented blast radii or heal-per-second charts. Cross-link Weapons Tier List, Loadouts Tier List, and the Tier List Hub so utilities sit inside a full kit.

CQB Hell launched March 14, 2025 with online sessions on PC, Xbox, and Mobile, random maps, sandbox weapons, bosses such as Allik, and a shooting range that includes PVP. Utilities are finite in the moments that matter. Treat them like ranked tools.

How we tier utilities

Axes:

  1. Problem solved — Door denial, soft clear, emergency create-space, or scheduled reset?
  2. Opportunity cost — What hard room becomes worse if you spend this now?
  3. Self-risk — Can the throw or heal animation get you killed?
  4. Platform reliability — Can you cook/throw/heal cleanly on controller and touch?
  5. Boss curve — Does the habit leave resources for spike content?

Bands stay S / A / B / C for plays, not item SKUs. If Killart adds new throwable or heal variants, slot them by the same axes.

Grenades — ranked plays

S-tier play: doorway denial before a known push

When sound and map grammar say AI is about to ram your frame, a denial grenade that forces hesitation is worth more than a greedy frag into an already-cleared corner. Pair with Survive CQB peeks: throw, reset angle, re-enter on your timing.

S-tier play: stacked-room soft clear

Random seeds sometimes pack multiple hostiles into a blind interior. Soft-clearing with a grenade before body-peeking beats musket heroics into three angles. This play climbs even higher on Mobile, where micro-flicks are harder (Mobile Tips).

A-tier play: create-space when a reload is forced

Empty primary mid-contact is a classic CQB Hell death. A grenade that buys a reload window supports miss recovery for Musket-style kits and dry carbines alike. It is A instead of S because panic throws at your own feet are common—practice arcs on the Shooting Range.

B-tier play: every-contact spam

Throwing on sight feels powerful for one room and starves the boss door. Rank the habit low even if a single throw looked cinematic. Resource curve matters for Bosses and Allik Boss.

C-tier play: entertainment yeets into empty halls

If nobody is there, you just taxed your future self. Save it.

Medkits — ranked plays

S-tier play: scheduled reset behind solid cover

Heal when the room is yours, audio is calm, and your next entry is planned. This turns medkits into tempo tools instead of last rites. Mid-map stabilizer loadouts live here.

A-tier play: post-miss recovery after a hard peek

You took a chunk, you broke line of sight correctly, you heal, you re-peek with a smaller angle. This supports precision kits from Solo Bosses with Musket. It drops to B if you heal in the open.

B-tier play: mid-swing panic heal

Animations and tunnel vision feed aggressive AI. Sometimes you have no choice; still rank the habit cautiously and train better disengage routes via Map Clearing.

C-tier play: healing chip damage every thirty seconds

You will arrive at the spike fight empty. Chip damage is information—adjust peeks instead of burning the kit.

Combined utility tiers inside a loadout

Kit roleGrenade biasMedkit bias
Tight-room entryStack soft-clears + denialShort scheduled resets
Mid-map stabilizerOne denial saved for laterSteady cover heals
Precision musketCreate-space for reload taxPost-miss cover heals
Boss specialistAdds / forced movement onlyPre-phase scheduled heals

Use Loadouts Tier List to lock the role, then set two verbal rules before you spawn: “I will not spend my last grenade before the red door” and “I will not heal in the open.” The Loadout Checklist is a good place to confirm those rules pre-run.

Platform notes

  • PC: Easiest precise cooks; still respect self-damage angles.
  • Xbox: Bind throw and heal to comfortable inputs before ranked attempts—see controls siblings if available on this wiki.
  • Mobile: Prefer earlier soft-clears over perfect micro; shorter heal windows in safer cover.

Photosensitive players: flashes and explosions stack with muzzle flare. Adjust comfort settings and take breaks.

Practice loop

  1. On the range, practice throw arcs and heal timing without AI pressure.
  2. In a live map, allow yourself only two grenades before the midpoint; note whether you still feel rich.
  3. On a boss attempt, write down whether you died resource-starved or aim-starved.
  4. Adjust the bias table above; do not invent numeric “grenade damage tiers.”

Utilities are silent tier-list winners. Aggressive AI and random maps punish empty pockets more than slightly imperfect aim. Rank your habits, save resources for spike rooms, and keep this page linked with its sibling tier guides whenever you rebuild a kit.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common CQB Hell questions.

Should I grenade every room?

No. Rank denial and stacked soft-clears highly; spam habits starve boss resources.

When is the best time to use a medkit?

Behind solid cover as a scheduled reset, or after a clean break from a bad peek—not mid-swing in the open.

Do you list blast radius numbers?

No. This wiki does not invent utility stats. Practice arcs in the shooting range instead.

How do utilities change for Allik?

Save explosives for adds or forced movement and schedule heals between pressure windows. See Allik Boss and Bosses guides.

Any Mobile-specific utility tip?

Prefer earlier soft-clears and safer heal cover; touch timing makes late panic plays riskier.

Where do utilities fit in a full kit?

Lock a role on Loadouts Tier List, then set spend rules here and confirm on the Loadout Checklist.
