CQB Hell Sequoia Boss Guide

Sequoia is a named boss encounter players chase when CQB Hell spike content includes a miniboss phase before or alongside the main fight. Treat this page as a multi-phase plan: read Bosses for shared prep, then cross-link Allik Boss, Ascalon Boss, Gunk Boss, and Ambush Boss depending on how you die.

CQB Hell by Killart Studios launched March 14, 2025 on Roblox with online sessions on PC, Xbox, and Mobile. Random maps, aggressive AI, sandbox guns, grenades, medkits, bosses, and a shooting range with PVP define the experience. This wiki avoids fake DPS. Musket, D-44 Carbine, G19B, and Contender are playstyle examples. Specials in a third slot are permanent when owned—see Marketplace Specials. Limited event guns are covered on Limited Event Weapons.

Fight identity: two problems, one budget

Sequoia fights ask you to solve a miniboss phase without spending the entire medkit and grenade budget before the main encounter begins. That makes resource economy sharper than single-phase bosses like Kevin Boss. You are managing phases, not only crosshair placement.

Before entry, decide:

  • Utility spend cap for phase one
  • Heal threshold that still leaves budget for phase two
  • Primary angle for each phase
  • Team roles if others are present

Preparation

  1. Arrive with full utility budget after clean Map Clearing habits.
  2. Warm up phase transitions on the Shooting Range, including PVP stress.
  3. Confirm gun tempos for both close and slightly longer sightlines if the arena shifts.
  4. Musket solos: read Solo Bosses with Musket for strict reload contracts.
  5. Mobile players: pre-bind heal and reload via Mobile Tips.
  6. Review Survive CQB so phase one does not become a hallway replay.

Phase one: miniboss discipline

Treat the miniboss as a gate, not a highlight reel. Chip from cover, displace before counters land, and avoid vanity grenades that reveal you without buying phase progress. Your goal is clean damage with utilities intact—not speedrunning phase one empty.

Common phase-one mistakes:

  • Burning both grenades for style
  • Healing every scratch instead of saving for phase two
  • Chasing a low miniboss into a bad pocket
  • Ignoring flanks while tunnel-visioning the miniboss

Phase two: Sequoia proper

Enter phase two with a written plan: peek tile, displace tile, reload mask, heal window. If phase one left you broke, consider resetting the run instead of ego-challenging Sequoia with empty kits—long attrition patterns mirror Ascalon Boss and fail for the same reasons.

Mid-fight loop stays standard advanced CQB:

  • Short peeks with meaningful shots
  • Immediate displace
  • Masked reload and heal
  • Fresh-angle re-entry
  • Utility spend only when it buys real windows

Team coordination

Assign phase roles: one player stabilizes miniboss flanks while another saves grenades for Sequoia. Stagger peeks in phase two. Do not stack doorways when the arena tightens.

Sequoia is beatable when you respect phases as resource puzzles: win phase one efficiently, enter phase two with a plan, and refuse to invent new habits mid-magazine.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common CQB Hell questions.

Yes. Community guides treat the fight as multi-phase. Budget utilities for both stages.

Should I use all grenades on the miniboss?

Only if they buy real progress without leaving you empty for Sequoia.

Is Sequoia soloable?

Yes with strict economy and cover cycles. Solo Musket players need extra utility discipline.

Which boss is most similar?

Long attrition feels like Ascalon; close chaos feels like Gunk. Use your wipe notes to pick.

Where do I practice phase transitions?

Shooting Range for aim, then clean map clears to preserve medkits before attempts.

Where is the full boss list?

The Bosses hub links Sequoia alongside every other named guide on the wiki.
